Introducing Uchechi

Hey there!

I'm Uchechi, your Student President for the 2023/24 academic year. Coming all the way from Nigeria, I'm currently pursuing an MBA with a keen focus on Digital Marketing. I must admit, I have a knack for hard work, especially when it comes to building education technology startups. But when I'm not caught up in my ventures, I absolutely adore traveling and making cherished memories with my friends.

Priorities for my time in Office

My priority for this academic year is to be a voice for the student body and work collaboratively to effectively address the concerns of every student in the following areas and more:

Advocacy: Representing student interests to the university administration and advocating for policies and changes that benefit the student body.
Communication: Improving communication between students, lecturers, and administration to bridge gaps and facilitate constructive dialogue.
Academic Excellence: Ensuring the quality of education by advocating for effective teaching methods, faculty-student communication, and improvements in academic resources.
Student Well-being: Addressing mental and physical health issues by promoting wellness programs, counselling services, and creating a supportive campus environment.
Diversity and Inclusion: Fostering a diverse and inclusive campus where every student feels valued and respected, and actively working to eliminate discrimination and bias.

I invite you to get involved in the various student representation, societies, and events on campus. These provide incredible opportunities for personal and professional growth, as well as a chance to forge new friendships with like-minded individuals.
