Hello 3rd year psychology,

My name is Sahir Nadeem i have signed up to be the 3rd year psychology student rep. I realise this is quite a tough role to carry out during the whole situation with covid-19, however in my opinion i believe we can get through this together. I've never backed down from helping others, it is a happy feeling to be there for people. I hope everyone on this course is able to reach out to me as a friend whenever you want. 

My role as a student rep entails: to improve students learning experience in partnership with UWS and student union, to represent my classmates views and opinions in relation to learning and teaching, to provide both positive and negative feedback to staff and lastly to act as a communication channel between students and staff.

Since first year of psychology I always had in mind that I will sign up for student rep and now that I have it's a huge responsiblity to fullfill but without doubt I will meet all the requirements and make use of what im good at, projecting my voice for the better and bring positive and long term change in the student learning experience. 

Taking this opportunity also includes for me to boost my confidence and conversing and communicating with individuals of different thoughts and ideas. I believe as a student rep I will tackle the weak points in myself, such as being shy around new people and find it hard to portray the energetic personality I hold. 

I hope my manifesto will bring you to vote for a loyal and caring candidate.
