Hi, my name is Amy McIlloney and I am running for the position of Student Rep for Law, I am running as I feel the opinions of the students should be heard and are vital in the development of the Uni going forward, especially in these times. I believe I would make a good Rep as I have had experience within leadership and representation roles throughout school, and have developed many leadership skills including, communication, managment and planning which i believe make me an ideal candidate. If elected i would aim to give every student a voice and to make sure they have someone who is in the same position as the and who may relate to there struggles to talk to. Within the course there are many modules to understand, and there are always going to be areas that people struggle with, one of my aims is to always try my best to help them or to point them in the right direction. This year we are all trying to get to grips witht the new online learning platforms and may of teaching, another of my aims is to help and guide those who may be struggling to adapt. I think these aims will have a positive impact as it shows students that they have another person to turn to instead of a teacher if they are struggling.
