Hi, I’m Max Ellis and I'm a BSc (Hons) Music Technology 2nd Year student at UWS Paisley Campus. I am standing for re-election as student representative for Year 2.

In first year of university I have worked as a class representitive to support and communicate with students and lecturers to receive and deliver feedback, issues and enquiries on various course topics raised throughout the year. I attended seasonal Student Staff3 Liason Group meetings to discuss these findings with programme and faculty leaders to ensure classmates and teachers alike were satisfied with the growth of the course. I am open-minded, approachable and welcoming of all ideas and feedback from pupils. I strive to aid students with any issues they may are facing, be it course related or personal. As a class, we managed to reflect our experience of the programme to staff in order to gain vital support and extensions on various courseworks. We have campaigned for changes to modules that will ultimately enhance the experience of future students who follow our path.

During the current pandemic we are facing, a class representative is more important than ever. Lecturers will need consistent feedback from all of the class to know how students are developing and coping with the studies at hand. This is a role that I feel strongly for and am commited to supporting others through. I would relish the opportunity to continue this work into my future studies and hope that you consider nominating me as your course representative.
