You’ll be issued with a personalised ReMode sewing pack which includes all the materials needed to begin some creative upcycling and invited to our weekly Zoom Sew-Along where our volunteers share sewing tips and upcycling ideas while hand sewing from the comfort of their own homes.
Our volunteering programme is mainly based around hand sewing opportunities at the moment, however in future we'll be looking for volunteers to assist run our retail space & large scale public events and workshops while engaging the public in a dialogue around ethical and sustainable fashion.
ReMode is an independent sustainable and ethical fashion retail & workshop space in Paisley. We sell affordable upcycled and vintage clothing and also host workshops and events to promote the reuse of textiles within Renfrewshire.
In return, ReMode offers a wide range of learning opportunities, training and hands on experience, as well as the chance to work with some of the UK's most prominent design activists including Fashion Revolution Scotland.
We offer group or 1-1 sewing and mending tuition regularly and host volunteer-only screen printing, block printing and film/animation workshops.
ReMode is run by a small team with wide ranging backgrounds in the arts and we are excited both to share our own experience and to learn from our volunteers!
