Paramedic Society

The Paramedic Society at UWS is a society based out of the University of the West of Scotland, Lanarkshire campus and aims to benefit Student Paramedics and other students at University with an interest in pre-hospital and emergency medicine (PHEM) and the wider medical field.

Our aim

  • Our aim: The Paramedic Society aims to provide a safe space for  Student Paramedics and other students who may need additional support during the tough experiences throughout the academic year.
  • We also aim to expand and enhance the knowledge of students with a combination of educational and social events throughout the year.

What does the committee do?

President: Overseeing & chairing all meetings, events, socials and a little bit of everything

Vice President: A little bit of everything as well as having general oversight of the whole committee and first point of contact for members

Treasures: Managing the societies money & funding

Social Media Coordinators: Creating our social media accounts, spreading useful/helpful information and promoting social events

Events Coordinators: Planning, organising and carrying out events from the society. 

Representative of the People: Liasling with the committee, the society and wider cohorts to ensure that issues are raised with the Student Reps and communities back to the society.

Administrator: Ensuring everything is planned and assessed before they go ahead.
