About us
The University of the West of Scotland Mental Health Society is a student-led community dedicated to promoting positive mental wellbeing, reducing stigma, and creating a safe, inclusive space for all students. We aim to support individuals across all year groups by encouraging open conversations, peer connection, and personal growth.
Our society offers a range of activities including peer-support drop-ins, wellbeing workshops, awareness campaigns, and social events designed to help students feel connected and supported. While we do not provide clinical or therapeutic services, we focus on signposting and creating a welcoming environment where students can share experiences and access appropriate support.
We are guided by values of compassion, empathy, inclusivity, and trustworthiness, ensuring that all members feel respected and heard. Whether you’re looking to meet new people, learn more about mental health, or simply take a break from academic pressures, our society is here to help you connect, support one another, and grow together.
Connect. Support. Grow.
