Rep training
Rep Training is compulsory for all reps to complete and has been developed by a team of experts at SPARQS (Student Partnerships in Quality Scotland), the training provides an introduction to the role of course rep and is designed to help you perform that role well.
To receive training, you'll be automatically enrolled onto Brightspace for Reps and you will receive an email once this is done, please keep a look out for this.
There are 2 options for Training:
In person
Attend an in person session
- There are various dates and times available during each term held at Ayr, Lanarkshire and Paisley. For Dumfries and London Campus, in person training will be delivered live online.
- Check back here for confirmed dates, times and places
Online self-study
Complete the online self-study training available on Brightspace for Reps, there are two sections to this:
- Self Study Rep Training (SPARQS) - this provides the basic information for being a great Rep
- Self Study Rep Training (UWS Specific) - this provides an overview of representation at UWS
This training will be made available after In Person training has concluded.
This year we have made lots of changes to the training and are encouraging all reps, including reps who've undertaken training in previous years, to do it again.
If you have any questions about the training, please email claire.lumsden@uws.ac.uk
