Student Societies & Volunteering
All support for societies is currently being done remotely. For any enquiries please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
We also have a new facebook group where we will be posting up to date information and communications for societies: https://www.facebook.com/groups/508872700023973/
Societies should not hold or schedule any physical meetings, events or trips at this time - this is in line with advice from Public Health Scotland.
But here's what we can still do...
- Make good use of the technology we have available. Keep things going online, keep in touch and look out for each other (and don't underestimate a good old-fashioned phone call!).
- Academic societies are a great platform to support each other through uni work. Whatever the circumstances, university can feel confusing and difficult for us all at times. Peer support is a great way to reassure ourselves and overcome this. So keep talking.
- We were already busy planning for next year and will continue to do this. Have your say on what we should be doing to support you and your society here:
Societies and volunteering are great ways for you to make friends and meet new people. They can also help you to develop some of the skills that you learn from your uni course. We have a wide variety of societies you can get involved in, click here to see the full list. If you don't see one you fancy have you considered setting up your own society? All you need is 3 student members! Click here to find out more.
