1 - Book a space for your society event/activity

 

Society Room and Event Booking Form - book a room or event for your society in the Students’ Union or University buildings

 


2 - Promote your event/activity

 

Promoting your Society - if you would like posters printed for your society, please email your designs to societies@uwsunion.org.uk

Please make sure your designs are the correct dimensions to fit an A3/A4/A5 page.

 

If you would like some help with designing posters/social media for your event, please email communications@uwsunion.org.uk AT LEAST 4 weeks prior to your event with details of your event and ideas for what you would like our help with. We may not always be able to accomodate these requests.

3 - Funding & Finance for your event/activity

 

Request a Society Bank Statement - check how much money your society has in its account with the Students' Union

 

Society Expenses Form - claim back money from your society's bank account with the Students' Union

 

Make a Society Payment - ask the Students' Union to make a payment directly from your society's bank account

 

Deposit Money in your Society Account - request details to transfer money into your society bank account

 

Society Funding Application Form - apply for additional funding to support your society's activities

 


4 - Complete a risk assessment for your event/activity

 

Society Risk Assessment Template - Before organising activities, your society must complete and submit a Risk Assessment to: societies@uwsunion.org.uk

  • Download the template then complete/remove details to ensure it's specific to your society's activity
  • We are happy to help you understand how to complete your risk assessment
