Risk assessments

Room bookings

All societies which are affiliated to the Student Union can book spaces for free to use to host their meetings, gatherings and small events. 

The Union has its own spaces in the Paisley Campus that can be hired by societies for their meetings or social gatherings. We also are able to book a number of rooms within the University for all campuses, so even if your society isnt in Paisley they will still be able to get a free room booking.

The Lounge

The Lounge is our Societies space and it can be found in Level 2 of the Paisley Union Building. This space was designed to be a comfortable, flexible space where you can do everything from learn to knit to taking part in a charged debate!

The Board Room

Situatied on Level 4, this small meeting room can be used to host smaller societies and their events. This room is in a standard board room layout, with 10 chairs and a central table.

Are we able to use Level 1 for our society events?

Yes you can, although there are some requirements which have to be met before we can use this space. Because of the cost of running and operating this area, there can be a charge for hiring the level 1 space and it depends on how many people will attend your event.

University spaces

The Unviersity offers various rooms and spaces on each campus that can be hired by societies which are affiliated to the Students Union. These rooms are of various shapes, sizes and configurations.

How do I book a room?

Booking a room is easy. All you have to do is ensure that your society is affiliated to the SU and complete the form linked below.
