Policy Lapse - Staff Should be Available to Students when Timetabled

    Passed
      1. Where lectures or tutorials end early for whatever reason, the teaching staff delivering them should remain available to the students for the balance of the timetabled period. 2. The reality of modern education is that contact time with lecturers is limited and most lecturers do not have set office hours to approach them, if they offer office hours at all. 3.Given these constraints it would seem natural that where a timetabled activity finishes early that the teaching staff would make themselves available for the duration of the allocated contact time. This does not always happen, further eating into valuable and limited contact time.
