All Voices Should Be Heard!

The idea of being a Student Representative is exciting to me, as I believe it would be a great opportunity to get to know my fellow classmates and course staff well. I would love to work with other classmates and the staff of the University to make your student life as comfortable as possible. At a time like this, it is hard to feel fully invested or even involved, but the current siutation cannot stop us from working together, and to help eachother.

I have plenty of experience in teamwork, communication, and leadership. These skills and qualities can be seen by my volunteering trip to the South of France with a Charity, where we assisted disadvantaged adults for a week in April of 2019. I also acted as the role of House Captain in my final year of school, which gave me the opportunity to work with others in my year and give feedback to the school. This gave me the chance to undergo the SAFETalk Suicide Awareness Qualification, which then helped me gain a certificate in identifying those who may be struggling, and gave me the tools in order to assist those who come to me with issues. Mental Health is really important to me, so I will always be there to help you with your problems.

As one of your representatives:

- I'd make sure that your voice is heard. I will voice your complaints, praise, or even ask any questions on your behalf; no matter how silly you think they are.

- I have experience with studying at University online and through video chat, so in a time like this I can assist you with any problems you may have, even if you need help with the nerves or if you are anxious about studying online.

- I will also be readily available if you just need someone to chat to, no one should feel alone at a time like this! I will only be a message away if you need to talk about university, or if you just need a friend.

- I will aim to make your university life as positive as possible!

You should never feel like University is a burden, even if it can be stressful at times. No matter how tough it gets, you will always have your coursemates to help you out, and especially myself as your student representative.
