Who am I?

Hi, My name is Carlos Pineda Devesa and I am a 4th year BA (Hons) Tourism Management student here at UWS in Paisley running for the position of class representative. I’ve always said that your time here in UWS is what you make of it. I am determined, committed and will always endeavour to get the best results possible for YOU. With your voices behind me, I can use the knowledge I have to best represent and implement your ideas. So if you like what I hope to achieve, I would be most appreciative of your support!

What will I do?

If I get elected I would aim to tackle inequality in our academic experience. I understand what our students’ needs are and I understand how to convey the UWS experience to the University.

How will I do it?

-Listening to your voices and being an active member of your university life, taking active measures to initiate the changes you want to see.

- Striving to keep you up-to-date with how the University is improving and developing.

- Stay informed of the current issues you have and be able to help instigate measured changes.

- Representing your views candidly, politely and constructively to the University… and feeding back to you.

- Ultimately I want the student body to see me as a figure of trust, who puts all efforts into improving the student lives.

- I am discreet and understanding when dealing with sensitive issues, so students can feel secure that I will maintain their confidences.
