About me:

I am a DBA candidate from London campus and represent my campus as a student ambassador in the local business communities, events, and recently I represented UWS in the parliamentary reception event held in the House of Commons. I am an R&D team leader in a financial company, and I also work as a freelance business development strategist and consultant.

About my role and promises:

I stand for the VP of student development. The role of VP of student development is to create job opportunities for the students, bring parity in student experience across UWS campuses, help students develop personally and professionally, support international students while their studies etc. And that’s exactly what I am determined to work towards diligently and to help each UWS Student to aspire to their own goals.

As a Student Ambassador, I have brought a very effective entrepreneurial project plan to the table for students who have a great business idea and willing to open up their business after the graduation in the UK but need proper support. If I get elected, I promise to deploy this entrepreneurial project plan across UWS campuses with the help of the UWS staff team for each one of your benefits. I also promise to work on issues such as;

Financial support pitching to investors

Many international students cannot crack this problem of getting finances ready for their business plans to launch, under the entrepreneurial project plan I intend to bring the investors to the campus for the students to pitch and win the funding from those investors for their relevant business ideas.

Networking and engaging with local business communities to create job/work opportunities

It's important to create a synergy between the local business communities and the students which consequently opens job and work experience opportunities for the students. I plan to leverage my business network to make it happen.

Design Personal and professional development programme

Based on my professional and academic experiences I intend to bring on board creative ideas that could help students develop and enhance relevant skills, abilities and confidence in relation to their career and professional development.

Knowledge and awareness of rights

Collaborating with local communities who work with universities under CSR with the objective to make the students aware of what HMRC is all about, educate them about graduate entrepreneurship visa, give them knowledge on the working employee rights, apprentices’ rights, entrepreneurs’ rights etc.   These are inevitable things to understand for all the students precisely the international ones who work and study in the UK and help them to aspire to their goals and support them to prosper.
