I know reading manifestos can be quite boring. As you might not have enough time to read all manifestos, so just go over the next paragraph that summarises my background and profile, then check the embedded YouTube video herein, for a brief summary of my main points.

My name is Ghiwa Dandach: I am an international student in my second year of Doctorate program (DBA) in London Campus. I completed my Bachelor and Masters back in my home country, before I decided to complete my higher studies in the UK. I managed during my full time as a student to work full time as an external, then as an internal auditor (total of 5 years of experience), while being an active community volunteer. Back in Lebanon, I volunteered as an activities’ organiser for children in refugees camps for 8 months, assisting in changing educational and life experience of unfortunate children. I am also a member at RDFL since 2013, a Feminist gathering that fights for women's rights in Lebanon, as well as in the Arab World. I also volunteered at MCC in Lebanon for 7 months, teaching migrant workers English and Arabic. Not to mention that my years of studies were financed by scholarships and/or assistanceship, and I succeeded to be an internationally recognized Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).

Therefore, yes, for what I have accomplished so far, I am an achiever, a goal seeker, a human rights' activist, and a feminist. I can't sleep well, until I reach my goals while helping others achieve theirs as well.

With or without such position, I always assist students at campus with the usual processes of enrollment, printing, assignment guidance, & study advices, and communicate my recommendations for the campus at every chance I have, because I believe that positions are nothing more than a faster path for turning demands into achievable results.

Even though I haven't been involved in university unions (due to political ratification in student elections in Lebanon), I believe my personal, professional, educational and community experiences, all combined together, have equipped me for such great responsibility.

As I believe in the significant association of university experience with post-graduation employability, I will be demanding the following issues:

  1. International exchange programs with foreign universities, including the Erasmus scheme for postgraduates

  2. National exchange courses across the campuses of UWS, for a period of 2-3 weeks for the same module taught in the same semester

  3. Internship opportunities for Master and DBA students, as the internship at the post-graduate level enriches further the knowledge and experience of future market leaders

  4. Greater community involvement opportunities, especially for international students, allowing us to contribute to the society  while understanding deeper the culture of the entourage

  5. Improving the status of London campus, in terms of library opening times (that closes at 7pm :/), PCs software (as it takes you 15 mins to login to your email), and the activities and clubs at this campus (3 or 4 only during a whole year)
