International Students Day filled our campuses with vibrant outfits, global flavours, and endless smiles.
A beautiful celebration of the cultures, stories, and pride that make UWS unforgettable.
International Students Day Celebrations at UWS – A Week of Culture, Colour and Community 🌍✨
From 18–22 November, UWS campuses came alive with vibrant celebrations for International Students Day. Across London, Paisley, Ayr, Dumfries and Lanarkshire, students proudly showcased their heritage through traditional dress, turning campus into a beautiful mix of cultures and colours. 🎉👗🌏
We saw students dressed in Scottish tartan, elegant Chinese cultural outfits, stunning Nigerian attire, and beautiful sarees and kurtas — along with many other traditional styles from around the world. The celebrations were full of excitement, with fun photo booths 📸, cultural pride on display, and food from all around the world 🍛🥟🥘, creating a warm and festive atmosphere.

Students shared the stories behind their outfits, enjoyed trying different cuisines, and connected with peers from across the globe. The week was filled with laughter, music, photos and moments of pride — a true reflection of the diversity that shapes the UWS community. ❤️🤝
Thank you to everyone who took part and made the celebrations so meaningful. International Students Day reminded us that at UWS, every culture has a place, every voice matters, and together we create something truly unique. 🌟
