Each of our university teams have one or two team leads, who are responsible for overseeing all of the year’s activities and building and supporting their team. Teams can be structured however you think works best for your uni or college. Some teams divide roles into events, t-shirts, and social media/ publicity, but we leave this up to you! For SolidariTee to work, because we have no paid staff and because we as young people do all of our fundraising ourselves, we do need teams to be active throughout the year. We ask that all teams commit to organising at least two fundraisers per term/semester, one awareness-raising event per term/semester and selling 100 t-shirts across the year, but what you choose to do is entirely your choice! Some teams organise sponsored runs, others organise t-shirt embroidery workshops, and many run stalls, bake sales and speaker events. You’ll have our full support and we all help each other out around deadlines and other commitments in and out of uni. Each uni team is responsible for: - organising a mixture of fundraising and awareness-raising events - these range from conferences and panel discussions through to club nights, painting and pottery sessions, quizzes and more! - selling SolidariTee t-shirts to raise money for refugee legal aid and mental health support - building a campus presence and working to make sure that as many people as possible have accurate information about refugee issues and ways to support Opportunity starts at the beginning of term time, however volunteers may start when they wish
SolidariTee is an international charity run and led entirely by volunteers who are students and young people. We're working to make lasting change in the way refugees and other people forced to flee persecution and violence are treated, through a combination of awareness-raising, advocacy, and direct funding to grassroots NGOs providing vital refugee legal aid and mental health support.

Since SolidariTee is a national student led charity, there are many opportunities to develop leadership skills and gain experience in a position with high responsibility. We have a comprehensive induction system that aims to properly equipment each volunteer with correct knowledge and information to combat misinformation and work confidently in their respective roles. Additionally there will be many opportunities throughout the year to attend speaker events and learn more about a future career in the humanitarian sector.
