This is a very exciting time to join our Students’ Union as we have emerged from the COVID cocoon with a bang! This role exists to lead on the development and delivery of in person and online training to Student Reps, Society leaders, Sabbatical Officers, Staff and external organisations. This includes bespoke and enhanced training opportunities for the development of leadership skills and the Unions priority areas of work. The post holder will support the administration and development of the student representation system.
The successful candidate will help develop the Unions capacity building in order to improve the quality of work and productivity and will act as the quality controller for all training and development activities. They will also undertake regular analysis of organisational knowledge, skills and abilities and make recommendations to the management team on developmental activities and implement changes as directed.

This is the first time our Student Union will have a staff member in post at the new London campus. The successful applicant will lead on the introduction and piloting a range of Student Union services that encourage and support students, including the development of societies and supporting the activities of student representatives.
A key aspect of this role will be evidencing the impact of our services and gathering the views of students about their University experience to inform future Union and University service provision.
There are many facets to this role. It is a very people focussed role with regular interactions with staff, students, and partner organisations. The post holder will work closely with colleagues in Scotland and our UWS colleagues based in London as well as our partners in other student unions in the local area.
