Easy Days

I suppose this is when people like to talk a lot of nonsense, my turn, i guess?

The true reason I want to stand for student rep is that I truthfully believe that there isn't enough participation within our business year group. I feel that I could significantly improve this, being the first voice of our year for students.

With the coronavirus epidemic affecting all of our lives at university, I feel now, more than ever, it is time to stand up for students and ensure we are getting our opinions across.

Of course, being an academic rep is much more than just representing students by talking, but by being their eyes and ears in meetings, helping to voice concerns and gathering information which I will be able to feed back.

This is something which has always seemed to bother any student I have spoken to, the lack of representation for students in the Lanarkshire campus, it’s about time things change.

I feel I am a suitable candidate for the job as I’m currently trusted as the manager of the dessert café I work in, free desserts, woo hoo! This not only shows that I am more than worthy of being called trustworthy, I can always be seen as a lead figure and take action when I feel it is needed, another skill which is needed for this.
