Many of you have been impacted by poor service and / or delivery of this course over the past year, most who have complained have been left frustrated by the lack of action and sheer contempt for your genuine complaint. As a student representative I seek to stand on your behalf and to unite our collective voices in order for our concerns to be heard. It is simply not good enough that distance learners are seen as second class citizens in the university environment; our learning needs are just as valid as those who are on campus and our demand for high quality learning, tuition and support is more than justified. The fees that we pay should not simple be for an access to a reading list, we have the right to be able to engage in learning with tutors who have a genuine passion for, academic knowledge of and time committment towards our chosen area of study.

As your representative I will demand high standards of delivery, ask the questions that need to be asked and ensure there is accountability for any future failings that we as a cohort may experience.
