Hello Friends,

I’m Jared and I’m hoping to be one of your student reps for Applied Bioscience in the coming year. I will take it upon myself to make sure your views and opinions are heard by our faculty members. We together can decide how we want our course ran and what changes we would like to see for the rest of the year and in the future. The pandemic has had a big impact on us and our start to uni life hasn’t been the best. No freshers! No parties! No new friends! With myself as I rep, I will plan events to try and gain back that experience that we have all missed and longed for.

A bit about myself. I am 18, fresh out of high school and have chosen to study Applied Bioscience and Zoology. I am a very energetic person and firmly believe that I can put this energy into making our student experience top tier. I have had a passion for the outdoors since I was young and like most people, I want to make a change in the world. I would consider myself as an extrovert, and I am not shy to talk in front of an audience and faculty. I was previously in the RAF Air Cadets for numerous years where I worked my way up the ranks until I was in a key position and leading a squadron of 40 people. I know how to get stuff done. By using my previous experiences, I hope to make this course better and more tailored to what you and I want.
