My name is Jode Cairney and I want to be the representative for the psychology and social work department. As a representative it would be my aim to ensure the department is a safe, welcoming and productive environment where everyone, regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity and financial status, can become the great people and professionals, I know they are destined to be.

Issues I would focus on would include:

Mental health (especially regarding the current covid 19 situation)

LGBTQ representation

Creating a safe learning environment for everyone

Ensuring everyone has the equipment they need to reach their full potential
