Coronavirus shouldn't affect our education

Hello, Amazing people

My name is Aidan Gibson, I am a second-year undergraduate student in broadcast production, and I am now formally putting my name forward to be the academic rep for the second years of broadcasting production.  I do want everyone no matter what subject or year to feel like that can approach me with any problems no matter how big or small they are so that every student can enjoy their year despite the current state of the world. I hope that we can all come together to ensure we get through this year safely; I want to hear everyone's opinions on thier courses so we can constantly strive for improvement going forward.

As your representative I have three aims that I want to focus on for the first semester

  1. I want to ensure all students feel safe and are well informed with all the new Covid rules affecting the university this year I want a clear communication between students and tutors, so we all know when and what's changing.

  1. It's important for everyone to have a healthy, body, mind, and soul so I want to make sure the university keep this in mind while adapting their rules this year I will aim to keep our gyms open and focus on setting up new clubs along as we adhere to guidelines.

  1. Because of how everything is working out this year most students are stuck in their homes and not all of them have the required tools to start their work or complete it to a satisfactory standard I aim to focus heavy on getting these students everything they require so that they can have a great year and not have to worry over something that’s not withing their control.

These will be my main focuses throughout semester one and I intend to make sure all students are informed about the decisions being that are made daily that affect all of us, please don’t hesitate to email me with any questions at all regarding any topics or worries you might have
