Hi there! My name is Brandon Fyfe andI was a student rep for BA Social Sciences last year and I absolutely loved it, got to work with a range of great lecturers and fellow students and wanted to do everything I could to bridge the gap between the two. It was a great way to learn more and appreciate the actual inner workings of how the courses are made and how the lecturers do it all and to combine that with student input to improve accessibility and communication. I would love to be a for the Social Science Masters programme especially given the circumstances we are all in. Anything I can do to help out, for both students and lecturers, to make this as seamless as possible I am more than happy to do, regardless of being a rep or not! Throughout my last few years of University I have always taken the view that anything any of us can do to help each other out to make things as stress-free as possible can only be a good thing for everyone. We are all balancing family life, work, University and countless other things in the backdrop of a horrible pandemic and I myself am a student who is completely new, like many of us, to this new online learning format. This new format also brings new challenges in terms of delivery such as a friend of mine who is dislexic for example which makes an already challenging time for us all even harder.  There are many implications for everyone for all sorts of reasons and I am very happy to do whatever I can to communicate these challenges and hopefully make this year feel as normal as is humanely possible!
