Hi, my name is Leah Mccallion, I’m a third year Business student and I hope to become your next Course rep because I feel I am able to provide the support, dedication and positive attitude that is needed for this position. Current circumstances are influencing our ways of studying, communicating and methods of support. UWS aims to provide a great network of support for students ensuring individuals feel satisfied within their course. I am aiming to provide another helping hand. By communicating with students and making an attempt to fully understand academic issues, personal issues and providing support to you in solving these issues we will be able to push through your academic journey together and make it an enjoyable experience, no matter what challenges lie ahead.

I would like to figure out how your course can be improved from your point of view and how our University can improve to help our present and future students enjoy their time at UWS. I will do this by asking individuals questions about their course and also by regular communication. This aim can also be completed by my own research and knowledge on the University which will be supported by the opinions of our students. 

To summarise, my main aims are to be approachable and dedicated to the needs of students. Supporting you in any problems that may arise in your academic journey and I will always do my best to find a solution. Things can get tough throughout your studies but you’re not alone.
