Hi, my name is Khrisnamurti; people call me Khris or Nino; I am a 2nd year PhD in the School of Business and Creative Industries. I decided to nominate for the Doctoral College Board of Members because of the experience of PGR students' during the pandemic; the isolation has worsened and occasionally caused mental health concerns for PGRs because they believe they have failed to benefit from the opportunities to socialise and study in person. My objective is for every school in UWS to create a space for PGRs to meet and collaborate or have a conversation to reinforce the sense of community that may be lost during the pandemic.

If elected as a Doctoral College Board of Members, I intend to organise a new series of hybrid or face-to-face events for PGR students at all stages to catch up, network and share their experiences. I will also try to make the university and the student union more inclusive, which aims to support the PGR student journey at UWS.
