Shahan Nazir for Vice President Education

Hello fellow students,
My name is Shahan Nazir, and I am thrilled to be running for Vice President Education in the upcoming Student Union elections. As an international student from Pakistan, I understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with studying abroad. Currently pursuing MBA Leadership, I bring a diverse perspective and a passion for enhancing the educational experience for all students.

What I Propose:
If elected as Vice President Education, I am committed to advocating for the following initiatives to improve our university experience:

Enhanced Academic Support Services: I will work closely with university faculty and staff to expand academic support services for students.
Promotion of Diversity and Inclusion: I believe in creating an inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected. I will collaborate with student organizations to promote diversity and inclusion initiatives, such as cultural awareness events, sensitivity training for faculty, and the establishment of safe spaces for marginalized communities.
Improved Feedback Mechanisms: I will implement a comprehensive feedback system to gather input from students about their academic experiences. This will involve regular surveys, focus groups, and meetings to ensure that student voices are heard and addressed by university administration.
Expansion of Career Development Opportunities: I will work to expand internship and job placement programs, career fairs, and networking events to provide students with valuable professional development opportunities. Additionally, I will advocate for curriculum enhancements to incorporate practical skills and real-world experiences into academic programs.
