Candidate for the position of Vice President Education

Manifesto:

Hello, my name is Sankar Narayana Subramanya Sarma Kesari, MBA (University Of The West Of Scotland) from Nanyang Institute Of Management, Singapore.

What makes me a good candidate:

1 year as an international student and 6 years of industrial experience with lots of leadership skills and fresh ideas.
I am passionate and dedicated to contributing positively to a student union and provide a direct link between you and the University’s support network.
I believe I can help bring positive change for you, by working with you on issues relating to your education and learning experiences.

My priorities for students:

To help students achieve their goals by making sure that they get the best experience out of their education and to ensure that every student has access to whatever support they need in order to make their time at University Of The West Of Scotland as well as students studying at other international schools in partnership with UWS as wonderful as possible.

Be Approachable and Representative

I believe these are the two most important aspects of the role. As we are a fairly large university I will do my utmost to reach out to each one of you at every opportunity and ensure an open door policy - I want to create an environment where you can discuss any personal problems or learning experiences you may have or issues that are not adequately provided for by this Union.

Empowerment:

Students should know that their voice is valued and can make a

difference. If elected I want to help you enhance your skills and confidence to make the changes that you want to see here at UWS, Nationally & Internationally and build a strong network of education activists.
