Hello fellow UWS students
My name is Andrew and I am currently an undergraduate studying for a degree in Tourism Management. As a mature disabled student education is for everyone, regardless of your gender, nationality, religious beliefs or your social background. Disability is not always visible, but everyone makes assumptions based on how you look, it's called stereotyping, we are all different, but all have the same goal. I am here to represent everyone regards of their abilities, disabilities or metal wellbeing, we all need to be supported and given a voice.
My career has covered forty years in catering and hospitality, working a variety of roles, I am able to hold a conversation or making a speech to all levels. I am hard working, have excellent organisational skills and time management. Approachable, compassionate, polite but able to be speak my mind appropriately.
I arrived at UWS and everyone is in such a rush. I don't know how many times I have climbed stairs and had to stop to catch my breath, but no one asks if everything is alright? Thant’s what we need at UWS a society of students that look out for each other, not everyone needs help but sometimes, it's nice to ask!
