I was inspired to apply for this role after the University had made me aware of how much I as a female in a STEM subject were under-represented. 

60% of the University are female yet only 15% of candidates were female. Even less so in a STEM subject, where women are already rare.

Equality is always something that I have talked about with regards to it’s importance, but if I’m not prepared to step up when it’s required, then it is just that, talk.

I am a mature student, I come with a wealth of experience, I am aware of my rights and other peoples. I am confident and comfortable expressing my opinion. I don’t shy away from debate.
