Post-study work visa eligibility widened

last year at the conference I liaised with other delegates who were actively campaigning for PSW-Now where I got involved. Now that there has been confirmation of PSW, with many students graduating before summer 2021 benefitting, It is important that this is made a priority lobby for NUS who is our national representative.

Let's save Erasmus

Despite reassurance from the current government, the future of Erasmus is still in Jeopardy. We all know how important it is that we continue to lobby for full membership of Erasmus+ as the UK negotiates our future relationship with the EU. It is important we break down the barriers that limit the mobility of students and Erasmus+ is key to this! I will liaise with other delegates to ensure this happens

Education without borders

With the UK now out of the EU and a deal negotiation underway, NUS will be campaigning to ensure this does not mean the construction of borders around education and limit the mobility of students.

Government Education Strategy

Also, the Government Education strategy pledges to increase international students numbers to 600,000 by 2030. It is important that campaigns are made for the Government to consider managing international students expectations and offering them a positive experiences, not just cashing their money.
