Candidate for the position of Vice President Education

Selime Dulger

I PAY ATTENTION, SO YOU DONT HAVE TO!

Hey, I am Selime Dulger and running for Vice President-Education.

I am 4th year CAD student at UWS, Paisley, School of Engineering and Computing. I use various software for design, manufacturing, 3D printing, CNC-NC Programming and Digital Manufacturing. I design components such as mouse for PCs and use library facilities often for research and report writing.

Why vote for me…

I am a student just like you. I know how challenging it is to learn in a university environment with all the deadlines, essays and examination preparation. This can be managed with the overall guide, which I propose to create beginning of the trimester, that as an extension of the information given by your program leader.
Class representatives can address the challenges you face in the class and as a selected VP-Education I make sure to improve the situations to get you inspired. As every now and then we all need a stepping stone to lift us up when discouraged. This might be a mile stone for you and the students that follow you.
I believe a student know best what other students need so If I selected as VP Education my priorities will be: accommodation and travel information and improvement, funding and scholarships for students, improving curriculum for today’s needs, organising conferences and seminars nationally for educational purposes, improving library learning system and make it customized for all students and creating questionnaire for students feedback to improve the learning experience.
Once elected, as a VP Education, I can only achieve these improvements working with you on all 5 UWS campuses by keeping the communication lines open on digital environment and one to one meeting. VP Education works at the background but always with you.

Female students at engineering and other departments are underrepresented on UNION Elections. Vote for me to break the cycle.
