I'm Dave (he/him), I'm 35 and I'm currently in my first year at UWS studying Applied Bioscience and Zoology at the Lanarkshire campus. Since starting at Lanarkshire I've found myself getting involved as a class rep, as well as being in the process of starting a new society on our campus. One of the biggest things I've noticed since studying here is the massive difference in the student experience between campuses and this is something that I desperately want to help tackle. Being a mature student and having previously studied at another university, I know how important the experience of being part of a wider social circle is, and currently I don't feel as though students across all of UWS are getting to enjoy this. It will be my job to ensure that resolutions passed by the student council are actioned and to ensure that Lanarkshire has some representation at a higher level, as this is desperately needed to improve our very modern, but very business-like campus. If you want to ask me anything, you'll usually spot me striding around in shorts and a hoodie, regardless of the weather! Thanks for your consideration and I hope to do you proud.
