ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are looking for community minded, talented Videographers who are willing to help us
to tell stories and share the impact of our work. We are also wanting to produce video
content for our supported people to help build their skills, confidence, and mental health.
To produce engaging, creative, short videos to enrich the lives of our supported people
and to tell Blue Triangles stories of positive change and share the impact of our work on
our social media platforms.

support young people and adults by:

  • Empower and support the development of positive connections and lasting relationships
  • Helping to build safe, supportive connected communities
  • Enabling those we support to live in supported housing - and ultimately beyond, when the time is right for them

your community. You can meet new people and be part of an amazing team who are
passionate about what they do while expanding your knowledge and experience of
communications and engagement.
You will receive regular support meetings with your manager, which is an
opportunity to feedback and discuss opportunities for training and development.


Training
A complete and comprehensive induction and specific training about boundaries are
provided for this role:

  • Taster volunteer session
  • Onboarding workshop
  • In-role training is available – we value our volunteers and want to ensure you are equipped with the skills you need to fulfil your role.
  • Volunteer mentoring on each shift. Further training may be available specific to your role and working with vulnerable adults.
  • Travel expenses are covered.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Experience of filming and editing videos
  • Understand how to create engaging videos for specific audiences
  • Although professional experience is not necessary, we would like to see something that you have created to make sure you are a good fit
  • Must have own equipment or access to relevant equipment
  • Used to working in all video formats
  • Organised with great attention to detail and a good level of technical competency
  • Excellent with time management and capable of working on projects with short deadlines and fast turn-around times
  • Professional in your approach with a friendly personality, good interpersonal skills, and a good listener
  • A genuine interest in and commitment to Blue Triangle’s work and the people we support
