Introducing Olakunle Stephen Adedoyin (Solution)
For over 7 years, I’ve fought for students as a Class Rep to top Union leadership. I don’t just talk. I deliver. That’s why I’m known as SOLUTION. I believe in achieving more than I promise and so I have outlined four clear and achievable priorities to improve university life for every UWS student.
1. Student Wellbeing & Community
Many students experience loneliness during university. When students feel disconnected from campus life it affects their wellbeing, confidence, and overall university experience.
2. Academic Support & Study Resources
Students face limited access to key facilities, inadequate amenities, lack of inclusive food options, restricted and practical learning spaces affecting their overall academic experience and wellbeing.
3. Student Support & Sustainable Living
Healthcare students in Scotland face financial pressure from a £10,000 bursary that hasn’t kept up with rising living costs, especially during unpaid placements. International students contribute significantly to UK universities but face inflexible tuition payment systems, creating financial pressure. Microwave facilities is a major issue presently for students across all campuses.
4. Student Opportunity & Innovation
Late placement schedules limit preparation and fairness, while limited access to conferences and career opportunities restricts student growth and exposure.
