Update from the Returning Officer regarding the recent SAUWS Board of Trustees Election.

Statement from the Returning Officer

'The result of the SAUWS Board of Trustees election has been delayed while the Returning Officer investigated queries of irregularities about the elections. During a comprehensive investigation, the Returning Officer concluded multiple lines of enquiry and analysed patterns and trends in the data, working in consultation with the University and our election software provider. The Returning Officer is now completely satisfied that the small number of votes affected have been identified, rectified and do not impact at all the outcome of the election. Election results will be announced at a meeting of the candidates to be held on Wednesday, 30th April at 12.30pm and will be communicated to students thereafter.'
