What's the role?

We have a variety of different volunteering opportunities available ranging from Community Health Champions that support activities and groups. Community Buddies which is a friendly face for someone that is nervous about starting a new activity. Youth Worker Assistant that can attend youth groups to help run the activities. Group work helpers, which area available to meet and greet, share knowledge of activities within AC and signpost participants to other local activities.

Active Communities is an inspirational community- led organisation that develops and delivers fun, innovation programmes across Renfrewshire and surrounding areas that inspire people to become more active, promote health and wellbeing and empower people to change their lives.

Our vision is for happy, healthy and active communities where people all ages and abilities feel good about themselves.

What could you gain?

Experience of working with a local charity, supporting the community and sharing their knowledge and skills. work experience that can be added to their CV.

Skills/Experience needed?

We urgently require volunteers that have knowledge of media, as we have invested in silent disco equipment, we require some support and guidance in generating playlists, maintaining the equipment and supporting events that we will be attending.
